The Full Story

Sophie Elliot is a singer-songwriter and actress whose self-reflective but whimsical lyrics aim to capture the intricacies of human emotion through warm pop ballads.

Music has been a presence in Elliot’s life since before she could speak. Born in a small town outside of Seattle, her music career started with her plunking out songs on a piano by ear. Through lessons, school choirs, and musical theater, Elliot honed her skills and musicality before making the move to the Big Apple to attend NYU Tisch’s School of the Arts.

When the pandemic hit and she moved back to the Pacific Northwest, Elliot first began writing songs as an attempt to put into words her struggles with anxiety.

Influenced by artists across genres but including Lady Gaga, Lizzie McAlpine, and Sammy Rae & The Friends, Elliot crafts songs that are heartfelt, artistic, romantic, and (at times) a little bit silly. She aims to be always be authentically herself, even when it’s difficult, as showcased in her debut single “quarter of a century.”

When she’s not romanticizing the little things, she can still be found curled up with a book or spending time with her biggest fan — her husband — and their two adorable cats.
